UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed has invited the Israeli president to a space event in Abu Dhabi, as the two countries continue to build ties two years after their normalisation.
Sheikh Mohammed invited Israeli President Isaac Herzog to the space talks in December, state news agency WAM reported on Thursday.

Sheikh Mohammed said in a tweet in early September that the event would bring professionals from the global space industry to the UAE to “intensify cooperation” and “form new international policies”.
The meeting is just one of many between officials from the two countries since the UAE normalized relations with Israel in September 2020 through the signing of the US-brokered Abraham Accords.
The invitation to the space conference came a day after UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed arrived in Tel Aviv for an official visit to Israel, marking the second anniversary of the signing of the agreement.
Officials from the UAE and Israel discussed at a meeting the importance of enhanced cooperation in areas such as the economy, investment and food security, WAM reported.
Discussions included efforts to consolidate peace and stability in the region.
According to WAM, Sheikh Abdullah stressed that the Abraham Accords “opened up promising prospects” for a privileged relationship between the UAE and Israel.
