Break the Block starts in November for two days
A unique street food block party ‘Break the Block’ is coming to Dubai this November, celebrating the city’s counterculture with food, live music and creative and freestyle performances. The two-night event will take place at the Dubai Design District on November 4.
Produced by Brag in partnership with Dubai Calendar and Dubai Design District (d3) and in collaboration with Factory People, 25 Hours Hotel, Last Seen Live and Ultraviolet Live, the festival will combine an incredible array of musical performances with sensational art displays and delicious food experience.
The d3 block will be transformed into a vibrant space inspired by the block party concept, bringing foodies a musical wonderland filled with live entertainment and performances, as well as exciting experiences to celebrate Dubai’s street culture.
Visitors will indulge in dishes crafted by carefully selected vendors at the event. From creative burgers and pizzas to delicious finds of Asian, Mexican, coffee and desserts, there’s a lot to try at “Break the Block.” High Joint, The Phil By High, Pizzaz, Chiki, Birria Tacos, Sakura, Fifth Flavor, Local Fire, Mini BBQ, Pedalo Gelato, Here-O Donuts and more will be some of the restaurants participating in this delicious street food neighborhood party.
Local and regional DJs and artists will also take part in the festival. Open Skate and Hang out classes will take place throughout the weekend, allowing skateboarders to showcase their skills.
The inaugural “Break the Block” will be strictly restricted to those over the age of 14, with some areas restricted to those under the age of 21. November 4-5, 6:30pm-3am at The Block, Dubai Design District. General admission is AED 75 per person for over 14 years old and AED 125 for full pass access to licensed areas for over 21 years old.
