Adipec, the world’s largest and most influential gathering of the energy industry, has announced a lineup of more than 40 international ministers who will speak at this year’s strategy session, including eight from the MENA region.
With COP27 kicking off in Egypt a week after Adipec and COP28 in the UAE in 2023, policymakers are expected to gather in Abu Dhabi to discuss solutions to energy security and sustainability challenges, including how to address current global energy challenges market challenges while delivering on climate action and sustainability commitments.
The UAE has played a leading role in ensuring that today’s basic energy needs are met and that the economy does not slow down, as this would hinder much-needed investment in climate action.

Eight ministers from the MENA region, representing some of the world’s largest energy producers, confirmed to speak at the daily ministerial panel:

The Adipec 2022 ministerial panel discussion, hosted by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc), will cover the most relevant geopolitical, sustainability and economic issues surrounding the future of energy supply, security and affordability Politics: How the Energy Sector Is Going Through Change” and “COP27: Key Policy Considerations for Achieving Net Zero in Uncertain Times”.

The groups are part of an expanded conference this year, with more than 350 sessions scheduled in a comprehensive strategic and technical plan. Delegates will hear first-hand from more than 1,200 industry and ministerial speakers with influential expert voices and a wide range of up-to-date content.
