Yas Island, Abu Dhabi’s premier leisure and entertainment hub, will celebrate Diwali from October 24th to November 6th with a range of exciting experiences.
With musical performances and Indian celebrity chefs offering delightful flavours, Diwali at Yas Island will be an experience like no other, said a statement.
Activities include:
*AR Rahman Concert – Etihad Arena: The renowned Indian musician and two-time Academy Award winner will perform an ensemble with his singers and musicians at the Etihad Arena on 29 October An amazing performance. Fans will enjoy entertaining renditions of his popular original tracks and music mixed with state-of-the-art technology, visual effects and synchronized choreography.
* Chef Vineet Bhatia @ Angar, W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island: Michelin-starred chef, author and restaurateur Vineeth Bhatia will curate Diwali celebrations at the W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island Awards from 24-29 October A la carte menu award-winning Indian restaurant Angar. Prepare lunch and dinner menus where guests can enjoy Indian cuisine with a modern and creative twist from celebrity chefs.
* Chef Ranveer Brar @ Yas Plaza Hotels: Celebrity Chef Ranveer Brar will share his love of desi flavours in celebration of Diwali from 28-30 October. The acclaimed chef will host an exclusive chef’s table for three days at Yas Island Rotana’s trendy Indian restaurant Rangoli. Additionally, fans can meet the chef when he unveils his new cookbook at the Filini Gardens at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Yas Island.
* 3D Diwali Light Show & BBQ @ Capila Pool Bar & Grill, Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island:
Guests will enjoy Diwali-themed light projections on the resort’s façade, Bhangra dance performances around the pool, and a two-day delicious Indian BBQ on October 29th and 30th. The Indian feast will include tandoori, tika meats and freshly grilled naan, as well as bite-sized chaat with a variety of spices, chutneys and savory sauces, followed by decadent Indian desserts, Masala chai and Indian-themed drinks.
* Diwali Shopping Festival – Spend and Win Big at Yas Mall: Starting October 14, for 24 days, guests can enter a raffle where guests can win three for every AED 300 spent celebrating Diwali One of the exciting prizes. The grand prize, which will be announced on November 7, includes two business class flights to India, ZEN Diamond jewellery worth AED 5,000 and 200,000 Dalna points worth AED 10,000. The first prize includes a one-night stay at W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island for two guests, as well as a dinner curated by Vineet Bhatia and two tickets to AR Rahman’s concert. Additionally, during Diwali, Yas Mall will host numerous entertainment shows and events, including Bollywood dance performances and roaming stilt walkers, to delight guests. These include:

* Diablito at Yas Marina: Diablito will celebrate Hanukkah with Indian-inspired Mediterranean delicacies, paella with Raita sauce – a curried vegetable paella – and tandoori chicken pizza with Indian spices.
