The dreaded video has over a million views and people can’t take their eyes off the bizarre viral post.
The ophthalmologist revealed on Instagram that patients put on a new pair of glasses every day for 23 days after forgetting to remove them.
With more than a million views, the dreaded video leaves people unable to take their eyes off the bizarre footage.
“Few people ‘forget’ to take off their contact lenses at night and put on a new one every morning,” says the California Eye Society Instagram page.
“23 days in a row!!! I had to deliver a contact lens bundle at my clinic yesterday.”
Video shows doctors removing all 23 contact lenses from the eyes of amnesiac patients.
“I carefully separated all the contact lenses and counted 23 in total. I had to use very fine surgical instruments, jeweler’s tweezers, to separate the contact lenses,” she said in a later post.
“After sitting under the eyelids for a month, they basically stuck together.”
Commenters were confused and horrified by the post, afraid to take the warning seriously.
“My jaw dropped,” one said.
“I go crazy when I have an eyelash in my eye,” said another, surprised at how the patient didn’t notice her vision problems.
“I would recommend glasses to this lady and give her no more contact,” one responded.
