According to news reports, the Balenciaga fashion house has severed ties with rapper Ye, formerly of Kanye West.
The move comes after several offensive comments from Ye, including anti-Semitic posts that got him suspended on Twitter and Instagram.
“Balenciaga no longer has any relationship with the artist and has no plans for any future projects,” parent company Kering said in response to a query from Women’s Wear Daily.
The company did not respond to multiple emails and calls from The Associated Press seeking comment. A representative for Ye also did not respond to a request for comment.
Ye has worked with Balenciaga and its artistic director Demna Gvasalia in various fields.

The brand also has a positive relationship with Yep’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian, who has appeared in their ad campaign and credits her ex-husband for introducing her to the brand.
Ye was recently banned from Twitter and Instagram for anti-Semitic posts the social network said violated its policies.
He also suggested slavery was an option and called a Covid-19 vaccine “the mark of the beast”.
After being shut out of the social media platform, he offered to buy the right-wing-friendly social network Parler.
During Paris Fashion Week, the rapper modeled at Balenciaga’s ready-to-wear show — what then-designer Gvasalia called an “iconic moment.”
He then appeared in the Givenchy collection wearing black braces from the Balenciaga brand.
That week, Ye was also criticized for wearing a “White Lives Matter” T-shirt at the Yeezy fashion show in Paris, which also appeared on the runway.
White Lives Matter is a neo-Nazi group, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center, which tracks hate groups.
In recent weeks, Ye ended Yeezy’s ties to Gap and told Bloomberg that he planned to cut ties with the company’s suppliers.
Adidas has reviewed its sneaker deal with Ye, and JPMorgan and Ye have ended their business relationship — even though the bank split was already underway before Ye’s anti-Semitic remarks.
