This month is full of fun activities. Here is some content available to local churches and faith-based organizations.
River Lake Community Church will be held Harvest Festival today.
There will be book giveaways, bounce houses, hot dogs, marshmallows and more. The free event is open to invited neighbors and friends.
Have fun on the South Lawn on the RiverLakes campus, 4301 Calloway Drive, from 10am to 3pm.
On Wednesday, Stay Focused Ministries will host a “what hay” Pumpkin Patch Event.
Children will receive a free pumpkin while supplies last. There will also be music, free candy, popcorn and face paint for the kids.
The event will be held behind the Stay Focused Ministries offices at 1225 California Avenue from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
First Presbyterian will be held harvest festival October 29.
There will be decorated cars for “trunk or treat”, lots of candy, carnival games, a live DJ from 88.3 Life FM, photo booths, food vendors, bounce houses and more.
The event is free to the public and vendors sell food. Dress up in your best not scary costumes and join us!
Celebrations will be held at the church at 1795 17th Street from 5:00-7:30pm.
Fraternity Bakersfield Community Church to be held trunk or treat October 31st.
Bring the kids to the church parking lot, 327 A St., 6-8 p.m. for a fun night of sweets.
Canyon Mountain God Conference invites community to its annual Harvest Carnival October 31st.
For decades, Canyon Hills’ Mardi Gras has provided a fun, family-friendly alternative to trick-or-treating.
Kids of all ages can enjoy free carnival games plus Bounce House, free train rides, rock walls and laser tag.
Look forward to special guests and musical performances by Bakersfield legend and Bakersfield Voice pioneer Tommy Hayes and his band.
“If you’re looking for a safe and fun event for the whole family, look no further! We invite you to celebrate fall with us in Canyon Hills!” said Nikki Schorr, communications director for Canyon Hills, in a release.
Food will be available for purchase and benefit various ministries in Canyon Hill. Local food trucks will also be on-site ready to serve guests their unique dishes. Children 12 and under will receive free hot dogs, fries and drinks.
The festival is held at 7001 Auburn Street on the east end of campus from 5 pm to 8 pm.
