Dubai ruler lauds the advanced capabilities of the UAE Armed Forces and highlights its key role in ensuring security and stability in the country
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, attended the “United Fort 8” military parade at Expo 2020 Dubai on Saturday.
The parade and actual combat exercises at the event highlighted the advanced capabilities of the UAE Armed Forces, the expertise and skills of its personnel, and state-of-the-art equipment and technology.
Sheikh Mohammed praised the advanced capabilities of the UAE Armed Forces and highlighted its key role in ensuring the security and stability of the UAE, which is key to the country’s development.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, attended the meeting, where the UAE Armed Forces, Presidential Guard and Dubai Police presented simulations of combat missions and exercises, Demonstrated their ability to deal with emergencies in a variety of complex and challenging scenarios.
Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the important role played by the UAE Armed Forces in protecting the country and its ability to carry out its duties under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed’s Support and follow-up to Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
Sheikh Mohammed praised the extraordinary determination of the UAE Armed Forces in carrying out their missions, saying that the men and women of the security forces continue to demonstrate their loyalty to their homeland and their extraordinary commitment to safeguarding the security and integrity of the country.
He further said that the UAE Armed Forces have played an important role in making the UAE a model for security and stability in the world.
“By providing the highest standards of security, they have earned the UAE the trust of countries participating in Expo 2020 Dubai,” he said.
Witnessed by numerous Expo 2020 Dubai visitors, guests and officials, the Union Fortress 8 parade and military display showcased the UAE Armed Forces and Presidential Guard’s ability to use advanced technologies such as robotics, artificial intelligence (AI) to ensure the safety of major events and unmanned machine.
Union Fortress 8 simulates responses to various scenarios involving risks and threats, including security and terrorist threats. The parade also demonstrated the high combat efficiency of female personnel.
Union Fortress 8 ends with a parade of participating vehicles, units and personnel in front of the main podium.
