Prince Jackson still thinks about his father Michael “every day”.
The pop icon died in June 2009 at the age of 50, and Prince admitted his father was never far from his ideas.
“I think about him every day,” Prince explained.
“There’s a lot of complexity in life and I feel like parents teach their kids [about], so without that, there is some confusion there. And, it’s an important legacy to maintain, you know? It would be great if I knew how he wanted to maintain it. So, just like that, I think about him every day. “
Prince, 25, still enjoys listening to his father’s music.
He thinks Michael’s personality shines through in his tunes.
Prince told PEOPLE: “A lot of his personality, a lot of him, is in his music. The thing I miss the most about him is probably him, I’m talking to someone about it, it’s his hands. He’s really strong. , really big hands. Firm, but they are gentle. Hard to explain.
The Jackson family is celebrating the 40th anniversary of Michael’s best-selling album, Thriller.
Prince still has fond memories of watching the iconic “thriller” video for the first time.
He said: “The first time I watched it, my dad told me it was true, and he started to transform. So it was very painful, but then – when I was able to watch it without being scared – he would Take me through it, I saw the making of Thriller from his point of view, you know? It’s amazing.”
Prince is now working to push Thriller to the top of the charts.
He explained: “The single has never been No. 1. So our goal is that we are now working towards completing the ‘Thriller’ challenge, which is between October 28 and I believe November 1 or 2 .”
