Mariah Carey teases collab with Millie Bobby Brown.
The “Stranger Things” actress recently hinted at a potential music project with the pop star on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,” and Maria appeared on the same Friday (11/4/22). Very shy during a show.
“All I want for Christmas is you,” the singer said. “Maybe it’s not just a musical. I don’t know. I can’t say what it is. It’s a funny thing.”
Millie, 18, considers Maria a mentor in her life, and the singer confirmed her friend’s claim that when the two eat Chinese food together, she’s prone to speaking out.
She said of Millie’s comments: “She’s not lying. I can’t define what type of food it is. We can’t do that anymore. I don’t know what type of food it is. We ate a little bit.”
When asked by Jimmy about singing, the 53-year-old star said: “I mean, kind of. I mean, it depends on the situation.”
Maria explained that she was trying to give the young actress some of what she had learned during her career in show business.
She said: “As a woman so young in this industry, most people get songs and say, ‘This is what you’re going to do, this is what you’re supposed to do.’
“One of the things that I insist on is, ‘You can’t let me do other people’s songs.’ Like, it’s one thing. Like, at least, I have to have that kind of input.”
Maria added: “That’s where I talk to Millie about things. I think that’s what she means, about mentors and guides. Like, don’t give it up if you don’t need it.”
