Amy Schumer’s son Gene was hospitalized with RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) during her “Saturday Night Live” rehearsal.
The comedian admitted last week it was the ‘toughest’ moment of her life as she battled a virus with husband Chris Fischer’s three-year-old boy for her late-night sketch show as the host.
Along with some snaps of her hosting “SNL,” she wrote on Instagram: “This has been the toughest week of my life.
“I missed Thursday’s rehearsal when my son was rushed to the ER and hospitalized for RSV. Shout out to all the parents who are going through this.”
Thanking the staff for working with her little boy during her visit to the hospital, she said: “I have to be with him all day at the hospital, the beautiful humans of @nbcsnl couldn’t have been more supportive.”
The “Train Wreck” star assured her followers that Gene was “home and better” as she continued to praise the actor and writer who went out of their way to make sure everything went smoothly, as well as the doctors and nurses who cared for the young man. Nurse.
She continued: “My son is at home and it’s better. What makes this show so interesting isn’t really the show or the show itself. It’s spending time with the people that are there. Of course, the actors and the writers, but what makes things behind the scenes is what I like best. The people who went well. The staff! Donna. Jerry. Jodi. Genna. Tom Wally and more. Lorne brought together the most talented and kind people. Thank you to everyone who was there and thank you to the doctors and nurses who helped us.”
