ABU DHABI, 9th November, 2022 (WAM) — His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, today attended an event under the theme “Global Conflicts” Part of the ninth Abu Dhabi Peace Forum and Universal Peace: An Urgent Need and Opportunity for Partnership”.
Sheikh Abdullah attended the main meeting on the second day of the forum, which was held within the framework of the celebration of the 2022 Imam Hassan bin Ali International Peace Prize, Chairman of the UAE Fatwa Council and Abu head Sheikh Abdullah bin Baye was the keynote speaker at the Dhabi Peace Forum.
On this occasion, Sheikh Abdullah stressed that the Abu Dhabi Peace Forum has become an important global beacon for the promotion of values and ideals of tolerance, coexistence and human fraternity.
He welcomed the participants of the forum, praising the innovative visions and ideas they presented, which are in line with the creative humanitarian goals of the forum, which aim to promote the values of global peace, consolidate the principles of fraternity and human solidarity, expand partnerships and Alliances with peacemakers on a global level.
The Abu Dhabi Peace Forum recently announced that the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, has won the 2022 Imam Hassan bin Ali International Peace Prize, awarded by the forum under Sheikh Abdullah bin Zaha Awarded under the patronage of His Excellency Yed.
The award recognizes leaders and scholars who have made practical initiatives and scientific contributions to the promotion of a culture of peace
A large number of global policymakers and religious leaders attended the forum, which ends tomorrow in Abu Dhabi, including ministers, representatives of UN organisations and government agencies, intellectuals and academics, and officials from civil society institutions and organisations working in the field of peace and tolerance .
The ninth Abu Dhabi Peace Forum specifically discussed opportunities and challenges for international cooperation and partnership.
