Emily Blunt spent months on horseback preparing for “The Brit.”

The 39-year-old actress – who has eight-year-old Hazel and six-year-old Violet, and her husband John Krasinski – revealed that she spent hours preparing for the six-episode western.

She shared: “They can smell your fear. I rode for three months before we started and it made me feel more at ease because people were like a horse back then. So you have to know your stuff. “

Emily’s family also spent some time on location.

The London-born actress – who played the role of Lady Cornelia Locke on the series – told PEOPLE: “They learned how to ride a horse and a carriage.”

The new show was inspired by spaghetti westerns, with Emily admitting the story “just caught [her] Heart”.

She added: “I just feel deeply that every script [of this show] The thing that then came to me was so gorgeous and moving. I can’t wait to see what happens next. “

Meanwhile, Emily previously revealed that John was “immune” to her steamy love scenes.

The actor, who has been married to Emily since 2010, admits he’s become numb to her on-screen romance over the years.

When asked how she felt about kissing Dwayne Johnson on screen in Jungle Cruise, Emily replied: “Honestly, John’s used to me having to make out with other men. He’s immune to that now. .. that was part of the deal when we got married!

Emily also revealed that she has great chemistry with the wrestler-turned-actor.

She said: “It was there from the beginning. We couldn’t get straight to the point in some scenes. Even the crew was like, ‘Come on guys!’ It was such a pleasure working with him. He was amazing.”
