At the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) in Sharm el-Sheikh, a joint initiative led by the UAE and the US announced that partners have doubled their investment in climate-smart agriculture and food systems innovation to 80%. One hundred million U.S. dollars.

The Agriculture Innovation Mission for Climate (AIM for Climate) is a U.S. and UAE government-led initiative supported by 42 countries and 235 partners focused on increasing investment in climate-smart agriculture and food system innovation to accelerate climate action. The initiative was announced by US President Joe Biden at COP26 in Glasgow with an initial investment of $4 billion.
