The UAE is ranked 11th globally in a list of the world’s best-performing tourism industries published by Spanish company ForwardKeys, which has partnered with the world travel market to analyze tourism and aviation databases.

International reports have highlighted an increase in the number of tourists arriving through the country’s airports following the launch of the “Coolest Winter in the World” campaign, a sign of a promising tourism season for the sector and the incredible performance of tourism in the UAE.

The report shows the UAE’s tourism figures are close to pre-pandemic, noting that the country will benefit from momentum across the Gulf as the 2022 World Cup approaches.

A report by Standard & Poor’s (S&P) expects Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries to welcome a large number of tourists during the 2022 FIFA World Cup, with the UAE expected to gain the most due to its geographic location and unique tourism industry lure.
