More than just a traditional fair, the annual Art Fair in Abu Dhabi hosts many events and initiatives to engage the public. This year, in its 14th iteration, Art Abu Dhabi will showcase work from more than 80 leading and emerging galleries and feature a curatorially driven program including art installations, talks and performances at various locations , making it the most comprehensive and diverse to date. exhibition gallery
Each year, participating exhibitors are selected by an internal committee of the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism. The International Modern and Contemporary Gallery showcases a wide range of artwork by different artists for sale.Art lovers, collectors and visitors have the opportunity to experience exhibitors representing galleries from around the world, including Lee Wai Gallery from London, Republic of Korea october gallery, red and red in Hong Kong and Saudi Arabia ATHR Gallery.
Artist Commissions in Historic Sites
Abu Dhabi Art invites established artists to create site-specific works across the historic sites of Al Ain and the wider emirate of Abu Dhabi, to reach new audiences. Works commissioned from the artist are showcased during Art Abu Dhabi and remain on display to the public for several months.See special projects by Italian multidisciplinary artist Marinella Senatore at Manarat Al Saadiyat and Al Hosn this year, In addition to commissioned works by Abdullah Al Saadi, there are special pieces by Shilpa Gupta of the Al Jahili Fort and Conrad Shawcross, mechanical sculptor of the Al Ain Oasis.

this annual Beyond: Emerging Artists The initiative provides a platform for three emerging Emirati artists to realize an ambitious art project, and their work will be exhibited at Manarat Al Saadiyat as part of Art Abu Dhabi.Over the past year, multidisciplinary artist and co-founder and director of Lebanese publisher Dongola Limited Editions Abed Kadiri Mentored three emerging UAE artists, Majd Alloush, Sarah Al Mehairi and Mohamed Khalid, who created new commissions exploring themes of borders, homes and man-made territories.This Exceed Plan to run in parallel with Al Kadiri’s acclaimed pandemic plan Quarantined Cities: The Mailbox Projectit will travel to Al Ain and be on display at Qasr Al Muwaiji until 22 January 2023.
music and talk
During the festival, Abu Dhabi Arts Center also hosted a series of cultural talks and book launches featuring world-renowned personalities, in addition to commissioning site-specific performances at various locations across the city. Highlights include Shabaka, an interactive music experience commissioned by Abu Dhabi Berkeley, and Noon, an experimental music project featuring traditional Middle Eastern music and jazz.
