A group of U.S. senators has raised concerns about changes Twitter’s new boss, Elon Musk, has made to the social media platform, asking the country’s antitrust regulator to monitor Twitter’s consent decree and compliance with consumer privacy laws.

The lawmakers also allege that Twitter’s new CEO has taken egregious steps to undermine the integrity and security of the platform.

The letter also addressed the layoffs and resignations that have been inflicted on the company since Elon Musk took over at Twitter last month.
