UK Foreign Secretary announces more winter aid for Ukraine trip | World News

British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly announced millions of pounds of extra support for Ukraine during a visit to Kyiv on Friday as the country grapples with Russian airstrikes on vital infrastructure as winter sets in.

Clever met with President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, condemning Russian attacks that targeted civilians, hospitals and energy infrastructure, leading to The capital was without power for days.

New British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak visited Kyiv for the first time on Saturday and vowed to remain steadfast in supporting Ukraine, as Britain had provided under his predecessor.

“I’ve seen firsthand here how the UK’s efforts can help brave citizens resist and rebuild. Our support will continue as long as this remarkable country needs to recover,” Cleverly said.
