Ubaidur Rehman Nizamani, Pakistan’s charge d’affaires in Afghanistan, was attacked by unidentified gunmen while walking in the embassy compound but was held for his protection, sources told Geo News. Deployed security personnel rescued them.

Nizamani headed the mission in Kabul on 4 November. The attack came just days after State Minister Hina Rabani Khar visited Kabul and held talks with senior officials.
