UAE Midday Work Ban to Begin on June 15
The UAE has confirmed that its annual midday work ban will take effect from 15 June to 15 September 2026, aiming to protect outdoor workers from extreme summer temperatures.
Under the regulation, employers are prohibited from requiring employees to work outdoors during the hottest hours of the day. The measure is designed to reduce the risk of heat exhaustion and other heat-related illnesses during the peak summer season.
Authorities have urged companies to comply with the rules by providing shaded rest areas, adequate drinking water, and appropriate safety measures for workers. Businesses that fail to follow the regulations could face fines and other penalties.
The midday work ban is introduced each year as part of the UAE‘s efforts to safeguard worker welfare and promote safe working conditions across the country.
