The Smart Classification and Duty Management System was developed in collaboration with Webb Fontaine, utilizing an advanced artificial intelligence based search engine and next generation IT systems to provide the appropriate HS codes for customs transactions. The new system will digitize the HS code classification of products imported and exported from the emirate of Abu Dhabi.
His Excellency Rashid Lahej Al Mansouri, Director General of Abu Dhabi Customs, commented: ” this is the first system regional level Support searches by Global Trade Item Code GTIN and Compound Registration CAS Number based on the commercial description of the product. Customers can benefit from smart classification tools by accessing UGC TAMM or Abu Dhabi Advanced Trade and Logistics Platform “ATLP”. Customers can easily and accurately search for the coordination codes of their products. Search results include (Harmonized Codes, Tariff Rates, Selective Taxes, Restricted or Prohibited Prohibited and Restricted Codes, Harmonized Codes Units of Measure).
