The Dubai Destination Winter campaign returns this year and runs until February 2023, showcasing the sights and experiences that make Dubai the world’s premier destination for the cooler months of the year.
The collaborative campaign, implemented by Brand Dubai, the creative arm of Dubai’s Government Media Office (GDMO), highlights a range of activities and experiences that people can enjoy amidst the fantastic winter weather, the Emirates News Agency reported. WAM.
This season, Dubai offers residents and visitors alike awe-inspiring adventure, entertainment, food, arts, culture, sports and fitness experiences and more.
The campaign featured engaging content from a variety of stakeholders, telling the story of Dubai’s rise as one of the world’s best winter destinations.
To mark the launch, Brand Dubai hosted an event at GDMO for media, influencers and content creators, showcasing the activities and experiences that the latest campaign will highlight to local and global audiences.
Brand Dubai also announced the launch of Destination Dubai website, which will share content, videos and guides related to the event.
Dubai’s strengths were justified by a global study released late last month that called the emirate “the best winter sun destination in the world”. Dubai has been tagged more than 111 million times on Instagram and has the world’s most Google searches for winter-related “things to do” at 55,000, according to the Winter Sunshine Index published by travel package provider ParkSleepFly. Another study published last month by global talent consultancy Remote ranked Dubai as the second-best winter destination for digital nomads.
Mona Al Marri, Deputy Chairman and Managing Director of Dubai Media Council and Director-General of GDMO, said: “Once again, the Destination Dubai event brought together government entities, industry stakeholders, creative communities and media to provide a new window into Dubai’s mandate. The event is a celebration of the places, events and attractions that offer unforgettable experiences this season. The plan will showcase Dubai’s coveted culture, stunning cuisine, pristine beaches, stunning mountainous landscapes, unique contemporary lifestyles, exciting adventures, century-old heritage and futuristic cityscapes. “
“The campaign will bring together compelling stories from a variety of sources on what makes Dubai a truly unique place to visit and explore. Content creators of all nationalities can participate by contributing unique stories and creative content to engage with the campaign. The campaign aims to convey Dubai’s unique personality, combining its modern and cosmopolitan spirit with its rich history and heritage,” she added.
The Hatta region will be the focus of the campaign. The region’s picturesque mountain views, archaeological sites and other tourist attractions will feature prominently in the campaign.
Shaima Al Suwaidi, Dubai Brand Director, said: “This creative initiative will offer a range of top-notch experiences for all tastes and age groups across its beaches and waterfront, parks and entertainment venues, world-class hotels, restaurants, and the Al Marmoom area and Hatta’s Natural Attractions. As part of Brand Dubai’s aim to raise Dubai’s profile as a must-see destination, this collaborative storytelling campaign will share engaging content about winter destinations and things to do in Dubai through guides, creative videos and social media.”
Al Suwaidi added that as part of its winter campaign, Brand Dubai will continue to roll out a series of guides to raise awareness of the emirate’s various winter attractions. These guides will cover must-try winter activities, outdoor sporting events, camping trips, winter pop-ups, al fresco dining options and other attractions.
