Sam Smith and Kim Petras look to discuss a sequel to the hit “Unholy.”
The pop star hit the charts with a record-breaking tune earlier this year, and now Kim has revealed they hope to record a follow-up and continue their partnership.
Kim, 30, told The Sun’s Bizarre column: “I’m definitely talking to Sam right now about the songs on my upcoming album.
“I just want to keep collaborating because you really rarely find artists who are on the same page as you, who you write well, who you want to be in the studio with.
“I really felt like we were meant to meet, we just had this connection – like a lost sister from a previous life. This song is such a blessing and brings me so much joy.
“I hear it at McDonald’s and every Uber I get into, it’s crazy.”
“Unholy” made them the first non-binary and transgender artist to top the Billboard 100.
Meanwhile, Sam’s upcoming LP “Gloria” will star Ed Sheeran, Jessie Reyez and Koffee.
Jesse will appear on two tracks on the record; the duet “Perfect” and “Gimme” and Koffee, while Ed is on the finale of “Who We Love” Sam’s fourth album (due January 27, 2023) Cameo on one track.
Sam recently joked that the record would be “absolutely fun”.
The “Diamond” singer set out to make a record “full of joy” on next month’s “sexy, lewd and honest” LP Gloria, and they think they’ve achieved that.
Speaking backstage at London’s O2 on Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball and Barclaycard, Roman Kemp asked Sam: “You describe Ball as a dirty, sparkling time, so how would you describe this album? What can we expect?” “
They replied: “Dirty golden goose time. Oh, you’ll see the tour… I mean the tour doesn’t actually have a goose…
“[Expect] pleasure. Absolutely fun. It was my mission to write an album full of joy, and I think I did it. So it’s fun, it’s sexy, it’s raunchy, and it’s honest. Yes, I’m proud of it. “
