flydubai has announced daily flights to St. Petersburg Pulkovo International Airport (LED) starting January 20, 2023.
The carrier has expanded its network to 114 destinations, most of which previously had no direct service to the UAE.
flydubai’s flight from Dubai International Airport (DXB) Terminal 2 to St Petersburg is currently scheduled to be operated by its fleet of Boeing MAX 8 aircraft. The route, with a flying time of 6 hours and 50 minutes, is one of the longer flights the airline will operate following Krabi and Pattaya, which will also be in Thailand on January 20, 2023.
Ghaith Al Ghaith, chief executive of flydubai, said: “2022 will be a huge year of growth for flydubai. We have already taken delivery of 18 new aircraft this year, which enables us to continue to expand our network and increase the number of flights on some of our existing routes. Capacity. The airline first started operating in the Russian market in 2010 with direct flights to Samara and Yekaterinburg. With the launch of the new service, flydubai will serve nine market destinations including Kazan (KZN), Makhachkala (MCX), Mineral Water City (MRV), Moscow (VKO), Novosibirsk (OVB), Samar La (KUF), Saint Petersburg (LED), Ufa (UFA) and Yekaterinburg (SVX).
Commenting on flights to St. Petersburg, Jeyhun Efendi, flydubai’s Senior Vice President Commercial Operations and E-Commerce said: “Dubai and beyond fly to popular holiday destinations such as the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Zanzibar via the flydubai network.
“Customers can enjoy a comfortable travel experience on our Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, which feature lie-flat seats in business class, comfortable seats in economy class, in-flight entertainment systems and international menus.”
St. Petersburg is considered the cultural capital of Russia. Also known as the “Venice of the North”, the city is home to the Neva River Canal, impressive historic buildings and one of its most famous museums, the Hermitage.
flydubai recently announced the launch of six new routes in 2023, including flights to Cagliari, Sardinia, Corfu, Greece, Gan, Maldives, Krabi and Pattaya, Thailand, and Milan, Bergamo, Italy.
Flights to St. Petersburg Pulkovo International Airport (LED) operate daily from Terminal 2 of Dubai International Airport (DXB).
Roundtrip business class fares from DXB to LED start from AED8,500 (US$2,314) and Economy Lite fares start from AED2,320. Round-trip business class fares from LED to DXB start from 196,800 rubles ($3,164) and economy class Lite tickets start from 37,825 rubles. – trade arab news agency
