The UAE Public Prosecution has ordered the arrest of a private company director who was found to have falsified the employment of Emirati citizens, state news agency WAM reported on Friday.

The suspects allegedly falsified electronic documents, falsified employment contracts, and falsely claimed that their companies employed Emirati citizens in order to obtain benefits and financial support from Nafis and various Emiratisation schemes.
Nafis is a federal initiative aimed at increasing the participation of UAE citizens in the country’s private sector over the next five years.
The program also offers an extensive support ecosystem, including wage support programs, unemployment benefits and on-the-job training.
The Attorney General of the UAE received a report of the fraud from the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and ordered an investigation into the matter which revealed that the directors of the company carried out the acts and falsely hired more than 40 people with the assistance of several company employees. citizen.
The Attorney-General urged officials of relevant private sector entities to take responsibility and play their role in developing and upskilling Emirati cadres and contributing to the economic development process.
