New parents Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor celebrated Christmas Eve with their family. Neetu Kapoor, Soni Razdan, Shaheen Bhatt, Pooja Bhatt and their BFF Ayan Mukerji also joined in the festivities. The celebration appears to have been planned at the home of Alia’s mother, Soni Razdan.
Alia shared a photo with sister Shaheen on her Instagram Story, writing: “Merry Merry with my Cherry.” She also shared another hit with her mother Soni Razdan, captioned “My Whole World”. In the picture, alias She can be seen wearing a red dress, a headband, and a mini Santa hat. There is also a beautifully decorated Christmas tree in the background and the room is brightly lit.
Neetu Kapoor also shared a selfie with everyone on Instagram. Neetu, Soni, Ayan and Pooja all opted for black for the Christmas bash, while Shaheen wore an olive dress. Ranbir Kapoor, on the other hand, picked out a white shirt for the party.
Soni Razdan shared a selfie of the Christmas festivities with her daughters on Instagram, “It’s a holly merry Christmas. Great time together.”
She also got a glimpse of party decorations via her Instagram story. In one video, the names of Alia, Ranbir and their daughter Raha can be seen on the red ball. On the other hand, each guest hangs their own name ball on the tree. She also shared a photo of the red and white table where the family enjoyed a hearty Christmas meal.

Soni Razdan gets a glimpse of Christmas celebrations at home.
Before heading to the party, Alia Bhatt shared a photo of her trying out a handstand yoga pose for the first time since giving birth. “One and a half months postpartum, after gradually rebuilding my connection to my core, and with the thorough guidance of my teacher @anshukayoga, I was able to attempt this inversion today,” she wrote. In the picture shared, she can be seen performing handstand exercises with aerial yoga.
“Listening to your body postpartum is key for my moms. Don’t do anything your gut tells you not to do. For the first week or two of my workout, all I do is breathe…walk…find again My stability and balance (I’ve got a long way to go),” the actor added.
The Gangubai Kathiawadi star also went on to add that it’s crucial to “take your time – appreciate what your body is doing”. “After what my body has done this year, I vowed never to be hard on myself again. Childbirth is a miracle in every way and giving your body the love and support it gives you is the least we can do,” she says.
