Islamabad [Pakistan]December 27 (ANI): Pakistan Justice Instigation (PTI) leader and former Union Minister Fawad Chaudhary on Monday slammed Shehbaz Sharif’s ruling coalition for the deterioration of the country’s economy and announced that PTI will release a white paper on the deterioration of Pakistan’s economy, ARY News report.

Speaking to reporters in Lahore, the PTI leader revealed the news and said the party had decided to release a white paper not only on the economic crisis but also on human rights violations in the South Asian country.

The former information minister has held Shehbaz Sharif’s government accountable for mismanaging the country’s economy, noting that essential goods and energy in the country have become prohibitively expensive.

“Inflation and unemployment are rising rapidly under the current government,” he added, according to ARY News.

“A 20kg bag of flour has already fetched 2,500 Pakistani rupees in Karachi,” he said, adding that if the government accepted the International Monetary Fund’s terms and conditions, the dollar would rise further.

He also criticized the government for recent terrorist attacks in the country, noting that nearly eight terrorist incidents had been reported in Balochistan a day earlier.

“At least 270 people were killed and more than 500 wounded in the latest attacks,” he added, expressing his grief over the surge in attacks in Pakistan, according to ARY News.

Earlier on Thursday, the former union minister lashed out at Shehbaz Sharif’s coalition government, claiming that terrorist attacks had increased by 52 per cent since the regime change.

According to Dawn, Fawad said incidents of terrorism in the country had increased by 52 percent since “Operation Regime Change,” which his party uses to refer to the overthrow of the U.S. by a no-confidence vote in April. A euphemism for its government.

According to the Dawn newspaper, the PTI leader claimed that 270 people, including security personnel, were killed and hundreds injured in terrorism-related incidents during the current government’s tenure.

He said the main reason for the increase in terrorist acts was the absence of a “serious and competent” government in Islamabad. (Arnie)
