More than a million tourists from the UAE and abroad gathered at Al Wathba to celebrate the New Year, with a drone and fireworks display lasting around 60 minutes for the first time in the region.
The festival is held under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidency Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan follow up.
The largest firework display lasted over 40 minutes, as more than 3,000 drones took to the skies over Al Wathba with lights of different colors and formations, providing audiences with a unique experience and a welcome message at the end of the show.
“We are delighted to be part of the Sheikh Zayed Festival for its New Year celebrations in 2023, and we congratulate the organizers, who continue to break records and delight audiences every year,” Osman added.
Performances are also shared on the festival’s social media channels.
The Emirates Fountain and Laser Show is part of various exhibitions such as Heritage Village and Emirati Civilization Pavilion, Play City, Children’s City, Art Zone, Kart Race, Crazy Cars, Glow and Garden, Selfie Street, Dessert Museum and more.
