What to do if you can’t register

[ad_1]

UAE private sector employees who are unable to enroll in the compulsory unemployment insurance scheme must submit their details to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE).

Effective January 1, the UAE has made it mandatory for Emirati and expatriate employees working in the private and federal government sectors to enroll in the Involuntary Unemployment (ILOE) Insurance Scheme by June 30, or face a Dh400 fine.

While registering, some staff received a message saying “Dear customer, please note that we do not have your information. Please contact MoHRE Call Center – 600590000 to update your EIDA / UID details.”

“If you are an employee in the private sector and have a work permit issued by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, and when you enter your data, if you cannot find your information, please submit a technical support ticket on MoHRE website, mobile application or contact the MoHRE Call Center,” the ILOE said on its website.

Under the Involuntary Unemployment (ILOE) Insurance Scheme, employees with a basic salary of less than AED 16,000 are required to pay AED 5 per month or AED 60 per annum plus VAT as a premium. They will receive unemployment compensation of 60% of the average base salary for three consecutive months.

Under the scheme, employees with a basic salary of more than Dh16,000 are required to pay a premium of Dh10 per month or Dh120 per year.

The policy period is one or two years. Subscriptions can be made through Dubai Insurance, ILOE website, Al Ansari Exchange and ATMs.

If an employee of a federal government department does not find his/her information when entering data, he/she should contact the human resources department where he/she works.

However, employees working in free zones of the country are exempt from enrolling in the insurance plan.
