January 7 (United Press International) — The Louvre Museum in France has announced that it will limit the number of daily visitors to the prestigious institution in order to create a more enjoyable experience.
Laurence des Cars, curator and director of the Louvre said in a statement Due to the surge in visitors, museum staff decided to limit daily admissions to 30,000 people.

Still, museum officials say the change is necessary “to facilitate comfortable visits and ensure optimal working conditions for museum staff.”
“The extremely positive figures for 2022 are a great encouragement to all our staff. I hope visitors enjoy their time at the Louvre, especially those who are discovering the museum for the first time, and they account for a large part of it 60 percent,” Deskas said.

According to data provided by the Louvre, about 70% of museum visitors in 2022 will be foreign tourists, with tourists from the United States topping the list.
