Abu Dhabi Moment 2 ends

The Abu Dhabi Department of Community Development has announced the recent successful completion of the second edition of Abu Dhabi Moments at Capital Park in the UAE capital.

The initiative attracted 256,557 community members of various ages and groups to participate in exciting activities during the duration of the initiative.

Mohamed Helal Al Balooshi, Executive Director, Community Engagement and Sports, Abu Dhabi Department of Community Development, said: “We celebrate the amazing success of the second edition of Abu Dhabi Moment. For every location we visited, we brought the initiative closer to the emirate’s Community.

“Our initiative was welcomed by revelers who attended special events and events that brought joy to everyone. The success of the second Abu Dhabi Moment reflects how communities can put aside their differences and come together in a community that brings us all together. Come together in an event that unites us in harmony and friendship.”

Abu Dhabi Moments’ closing event at the city’s Capital Park welcomed 78,787 visitors in its final weekend of operation.

Abu Dhabi Moments is an initiative launched by the Department of Community Development to improve the quality of life in Abu Dhabi and inspire long-term community cohesion through various events and activities across the emirate.

During Abu Dhabi Moments, a curated series of fun, entertaining, sporting and interactive events engages all members of the community of all ages and nationalities. Notable locations include Al Jahili Park in Al Ain, Mussafah District in Abu Dhabi, Mohamed bin Zayed Urban Public Park in Abu Dhabi, Capital Park in downtown Abu Dhabi and Al Dhannah in Al Dhafra area.

The goal of Abu Dhabi Moments is to instill a sense of belonging in communities and families, creating an atmosphere that encourages friendship and bonds that transcend roots, different cultures, age gaps and beliefs; time, and to achieve the government’s long-term strategic goals and vision.

The initiative has successfully engaged and motivated private and public institutions, as well as third sector institutions, through participation and sponsorship opportunities to support the local community through a number of events across the emirate of Abu Dhabi. – trade arab news agency
