HM participates in ‘Prosperity and Stability’ conference in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates—— His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik was in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday for a fraternity meeting that brought together the leaders of some GCC countries, with the exception of Jordan and Egypt.

The meeting on “prosperity and stability in the region” was held at the invitation of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Other leaders present at the meeting were: King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, King Abdullah of Jordan Dullah II ibn Hussein and Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sisi.

The participation of His Majesty the Sultan stems from the conviction of the importance of this fraternal meeting and its fruitful outcome in fulfilling the aspirations of the two peoples.

His Majesty the Sultan returned from Abu Dhabi in the afternoon. During his absence, His Majesty the Sultan sent a thank you telegram to Sheikh Mohammed.

His Majesty thanked him for the warm welcome and hospitality he received during his visit. He hailed the fraternity as an opportunity to discuss state ties and solidify ways of working together in various fields.

According to WAM, the UAE’s national news agency, the meeting was held to consolidate and deepen cooperation in various fields between fraternal countries through cooperation and regional integration, and to serve the development, prosperity and stability of the region.

The meeting discussed a number of regional and international issues and developments of common concern as well as political, security and economic challenges facing the region, as well as coordinating positions and strengthening joint Arab actions to address these challenges to ensure the establishment of a more stable society for the people of the region future.
The leaders reiterated that the two countries have deep historical ties in various fields, and the two sides are willing to communicate, consult and continue to coordinate on various changes in the region and the world.

They emphasized that cooperation in building economic and development partnerships between their countries and other Arab countries in the region is the way to create a better future for all in the region.

The leaders also reaffirmed their shared vision of strengthening regional stability and prosperity, and their firm belief in the importance of communication for construction, development and prosperity.

They emphasized the importance of adhering to the rules of good neighborliness, respect for sovereignty and non-interference in internal affairs.
