Scotland’s Scott Jamison leads by two strokes halfway through the HSBC Championship in Abu Dhabi.
The 39-year-old improved to 8 under with a 69 on Friday after a 5-under 67 on the first day.
Italy’s Francesco Molinari and Guido Migliozzi shared the lead at 10 under, one shot ahead of Australia’s Jason Scrivner.
Ireland’s Sean Lowry shot seven under, two shots ahead of European Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald and fellow Britons Tyrell Hatton and Daniel Bradbury.
Donald led at eight-under par after the first round, but made six triple-bogeys on the par-3 17th hole for a 3-over 75.
Jamison got off to a strong start with three birdies on his opening six holes, but then followed up with three more birdies and three bogeys over the remaining 12 holes to finish in under Par 8.
Molinari, who started his round on the 10th hole, matched his first-round 67 with six birdies on the final nine holes, while Migliozzi was on the final three holes. Birdie tied his compatriot for the top of the leaderboard.
Some players were unable to complete the second round before night fell on Yas Links. Those players will return Saturday morning before the start of the third round.
