The latest episode of SNL has gone viral thanks to Aubrey Plaza’s impressive hosting work, with the actor reprising some of the most talked about shows and movies of the moment, including Avatar, M3gan and White Lotus, among others.
Building on the success of her role in the second season of “The White Lotus,” Aubrey Plaza comes to SNL to host the latest episode of the feature-length comedy show. She began the show with an opening monologue as a way of recreating her humble beginnings as an NBC tour guide.TikTok clips with monologues have gained TikTok reaches 2.2 million viewsand this number will only continue to rise.

Since then, Plaza has subsequently been involved in a series of skits, all of which poked fun at some of the biggest pop culture moments of the time.Joining the SNL cast, Plaza in the latest Avatar: Way of Water movie as well as New horror film M3gan.
The latter of the two features Piazza, who they see as a sequel to the brand new movie.

However, the two sketches that seem to get the most attention on TikTok are the “Black Lotus” sketch and a remake of the Miss Universe 2023 promotional video. The former of the two makes fun of White Lotus’ over-the-top nature, and how some of the characters in season two lacked common sense.

For Plaza, her role on the show was a breakthrough moment for the actor, cementing her theatrical stamp as she is known for her deadpan comedy.

In the Miss Universe 2023 skit, Plaza plays the French contestant, mimicking the way she calls out her country of origin, almost exactly like a real-life woman. TikTok users have been commenting on and reacting to things online.
One TikTok user commented that “French is so accurate,” while another pointed to the sketch as “the first time I’ve laughed out loud on SNL in a while.” Due to her determined performance, another TikToker wrote: “Aubrey should host SNL every week.”

Despite being posted just 11 hours ago, the two sketches have racked up more than 1.2 million views on the SNL TikTok page. However, arguably the biggest surprise of the night was seeing Amy Poehler return to SNL, reprising her iconic Parks and Recreations role of Leslie Knope in the Weekend Update.
Given how quickly fans have been flocking to this latest batch of Aubrey Plaza content, it’s likely that these videos and sketches will gain even more traction in the coming days.
