The “Ragtime” benefit reunion concert originally scheduled for 2020 has set new dates for the one-night-only event.
The Entertainment Community Foundation has announced that the sold-out show will take place at the Minskoff Theater on March 27.
All proceeds from the evening will go to the Entertainment Community Fund, which provides programs for entertainment professionals including emergency financial aid, workshops, support groups, mental health resources and more.
Audra McDonald, Brian Stokes Mitchell and Peter Friedman, the main cast of the original Broadway production of “Ragtime,” will reunite as Sarah, Coalhouse Walker Jr. and Tateh, respectively. Kelli O’Hara will play the role of the mother, originally played by the late Marin Mazzie.

Patton (Richards), Lynnette Perry, Orgena Rose, Gordon Stanley, Steven Sutcliffe, Todd Thurston, Vanessa Townsell, Rema Webb, Leon Williams, Bruce Winant and Eric Jordan Young. With the exception of Hess (touring company in 1998), Martin (reprise in 2009) and McCandless (world premiere), all of these actors performed as part of the original Broadway production in 1998, making the concert a true reunion.
“Our Ragtime family, Broadway community and many others are devastated by the passing of our beloved playwright Terrance McNally,” said Mitchell, who also chaired the foundation. said in a statement. “We are also saddened by the recent loss of our original Broadway director Frank Galati and of course our dear Marin Mazzie. We dedicate this grand reunion to them and to all of the ‘Ragtime’ family who are no longer Salute to those who were with us.”
