Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, will add four weekly flights to Frankfurt to its current daily frequency from May 1, bringing the total number of flights to the German city to 11 weekly.
The additional flights will be operated by Etihad Airways’ ultra-modern Boeing 787 Dreamliner, designed with customer comfort in mind, with 28 Business Class seats and 262 Economy Class seats.
The surge in flights underscores the airline’s commitment to the important German market, days after Etihad announced it would start flying to Dusseldorf from 1 October.
Arik De, Etihad Airways Chief Revenue Officer, said: “We are delighted to offer our passengers more flights to Frankfurt, one of the most important airports in Europe.
“Increased frequency also means greater connections with our expanding network and the opportunity to welcome more visitors to Abu Dhabi, where they can enjoy our world-renowned hospitality, culture, leisure activities and cuisine. “
While known for its financial activity, Frankfurt also has a rich cultural history, and the Old Town with its half-timbered houses, cathedral, Museum Embankment and Goethe House is popular with the thousands of tourists the city receives each year.
Passengers traveling with Etihad Airways to/from Frankfurt can use the airline’s rail connection service to travel by train from any station on the Deutsche Bahn or SNCF network. – trade arab news agency
