The Turkish embassy in Abu Dhabi has started collecting aid for those affected by the earthquake.

The embassy tweeted through its official account @tcabudabibe, instructing residents and companies wishing to donate items to do so at their premises in the embassy district in Abu Dhabi. Those who intend to donate a large amount of items are advised to deliver the items to the CSS Homeward Bound shipping company warehouse.

According to the embassy, ​​aid collection will continue on February 7-8 from 8am to 8pm. They also specified that the materials had to be virgin and suitable for winter conditions.

The embassy also directs those wishing to donate to the official website.

Items needed

Warm clothing is a priority in Turkey, where rain and snow often occur in February, according to the instructions.

Winter gear and clothing that can be donated includes coats; raincoats; boots; sweaters; pants; gloves; scarves; beanies; socks; and underwear.

Other shelter essentials such as tents; beds; mattresses (for tents); blankets; sleeping bags; gas catalytic stoves, heaters; gas cylinders; thermoses; flashlights; power banks; generators also help.

Food boxes, baby formula, diapers, personal care and feminine hygiene products are also needed.
