Global professional services firm GHD has appointed Darren Shrives as Regional General Manager for the UAE.
GHD has been present in the UAE since 2001 and employs approximately 200 staff in offices in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The company was recently appointed by the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure to develop a national hydrogen energy strategy.
Darren was previously responsible for the company’s Philippine operations. He is a civil engineer with over 25 years’ experience in multidisciplinary project planning and leadership in Australia, the UK and the Philippines.

The COP28 summit in Dubai will be emblematic of the massive transformation underway in the UAE and the wider GCC as these economies transition from oil and gas to a low carbon future .
