Lawyers for Prince Andrew are trying to restore his reputation by dismantling the Virginia Giuffre story, according to a report published on express.co.uk.
Lawyers for the Duke of York are planning to release legal documents to clear his name, the report said.
Andrew was stripped of his military rank and royal patronage after being involved in a sex scandal.
Virginia Giuffre accused him of raping her when she was young.
The Daily Express reports that Prince Andrew’s legal team is trying to obtain documents in an ongoing lawsuit between plaintiff Giuffre and US attorney Alan Dershowitz.
The Sunday Times reported that Giuffre had accused Dershowitz of abuse but later admitted she had made a mistake.
The report comes after King Charles decided to throw Andrew out of the palace.
The monarch has also reportedly decided that Andrew will not have a ceremonial role at his coronation.
Prince Andrew is expected to return to royal life if his lawyers succeed in “overturning” the accuser’s story.
The Duke of York has reportedly paid Virginia Giuffre an estimated £12million settlement after she claimed he had sex with her when she was 17.
