Erdogan thanks UAE for continuous support after earthquake at World Government Summit

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan extended his greetings to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Rashid Al Maktoum expressed his thanks and greetings for the support provided.

The UAE sent emergency humanitarian aid to Turkey following the catastrophic earthquake that hit parts of the country on February 6.

Erdogan said, “Thank you, Mohamed bin Zayed…Thank you, Mohamed bin Rashid, for stressing that the work of the World Government Summit will bring prosperity to humanity and contribute to world peace and justice. contribute.”

In a keynote speech recorded on the second day of the World Government Summit, Erdogan emphasized that Turkey and the Arab Gulf countries have become the central axis of security, stability, prosperity and economic integration in the region, adding, “In Turkey, we It’s always been said that our stability and security are closely tied to the stability and security of the Gulf.”

He added: “Besides advanced technology, space program and renewable energy, we are paying great attention to land transport infrastructure and rail network which will connect the Gulf region with Europe and Asia via Turkey.”

The Turkish president emphasized that the world today faces a number of challenges, including natural disasters, climate change, displacement and war, noting that disruptions in supply chains, natural disasters caused by climate change, the war between Russia and Ukraine, food and energy crises and rising global inflation are all factors. Placing challenges to the global economy and development initiatives, the achievements of the SDGs, especially in the least developed countries, are being eroded, so the possibility of achieving the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is diminishing in the face of all these challenges.
