[ad_1]

Ras Al Khaimah: The Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) recently organized a community workshop to familiarize its business community with the UAE’s corporate tax regime. The event brought together global and regional tax, audit, finance, compliance and advisory experts who provided RAKEZ clients with in-depth details on how corporate tax will be implemented in the UAE and its expected impact on corporate profits. The workshop provided a platform for attendees to interact, ask questions and reassure their concerns, engaging in active discussions with subject matter experts to demonstrate how to prepare for and comply with the new tax regime that will come into effect in June 2023.

Ramy Jallad, CEO of RAKEZ Group, commented: “We are delighted to host such a great conference on corporate taxation in the UAE. It is great to see that many of our clients have seized the opportunity to study the UAE tax regime, assessing its impact on their respective business entities , and plan how to align their operations with the new regulations that will be implemented.”

Aquila S. Sadallah from ASLC Legal Consultancy shared that the session was informative, “the speakers covered most of the topics that are Emirati entrepreneurs on company structure and operations are particularly useful.”

Alshefin Haneefa from Royal Food Industries shared that her company has been preparing to align with the new tax law since January. “We’ve been following the corporate tax news closely, but there was just too much information. The RAKEZ meeting was very helpful and we learned a lot from the experts.”

Jallad added: “Our primary responsibility is to keep our business community members informed of any legal developments driving the UAE business landscape. This conference is part of our ongoing efforts to support our clients’ growth and success in the country . We look forward to hosting more of these informative sessions in the future, designed to foster an ecosystem that inspires and supports businesses.”
