Listen to the fans! Pulitzer Prize finalists, the Wolves will perform at The Junction on Alserkal Avenue this weekend. This is a show you should not miss.

The Wolves are Sarah DeLappe’s play in 2016 and are a finalist for the 2017 Pulitzer Prize for Drama (so, you know it will be great!). It is performed by all-female actors from directors to talented local actors and staff.

So, what exactly is this show talking about?

The Wolves described the life of the women’s indoor football team during the warm-up process before the game. The girls talk about everything, from ordinary to trivial gossip, genocide, menstrual cycles, etc.

At first, these roles seemed indistinguishable, because each role was only represented by her jersey number. But soon, as the plot progresses, we understand the background of these unnamed characters, they will soon become real, and the audience will definitely find a character that they really resonate with.

As the plot progresses, many unspoken things will be revealed, and those unspoken, unspoken, and neglected things suddenly cannot be marginalized or ignored.

Zehra Ahmed created a piece of original music, which only adds to the richness of the drama.

Aditi Nath, a mental health practitioner and director of the show, said that the show stands out for her because of its unique structure. She is happy to work with all-female actors and staff, who helped her express these levels in a subtle but obvious way.

Senora D’Mello, one of the actors of the play, said that such a refreshing change has taken place in the theater scene in Dubai, adding that most of the scripts and plays have all-male actors or males. Majority.

She added that this story breaks the stereotype that “sports is only for men” and is an “emotional roller coaster exploring women’s friendship, their troubles, and how they get through it all.”
