UAE updates 15 visa, entry permit services

Abu Dhabi: The UAE Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) on Wednesday announced the implementation of a new service, comprising 15 visa and entry clearance-related updates, available through its Smart Channels, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported. get.

This set of updates is part of a plan to develop a service system based on the latest developments to meet the needs of customers and enhance the capabilities of the authority and the country going into the future.

update includes

• Issuance of group family visas for tourism, treatment, escort, etc., single and multiple entries are available, and the validity period is 60 days and 180 days.

• Exemption from fingerprinting requirements for identified persons when applying for the issuance, renewal or replacement of passports.

• Visa extension services have also been expanded to allow holders of one-off 90-day visas a 30-day extension, but prohibit renewals of residence visas valid for more than six months.

• The updated Smart Services system also provides cancellation and amendment services for visa data in the accounts of citizens of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries who do not have an Emirates ID.

• 30, 60 and 90 day extensions for single or multiple entry visitor visas for relatives or friends.

Major General Al Khaili said the authorities adopted a new update to the Smart Service System and it will be implemented starting February 1, 2023.
