AstraZeneca to relocate to Tecom Group’s Dubai Tech Park

AstraZeneca has announced plans to build sustainable offices at Dubai Science Park, a member of Tecom Group PJSC.

The move, which will open in the third quarter of 2023, is part of the biopharma giant’s global green agenda, in line with the “We the UAE 2031” vision and year of sustainable development.

The design, construction and materials of the new offices will meet the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum Standards set by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). The Green Building Classification System is one of the most widely used systems worldwide and is a hallmark of healthy, efficient and energy-efficient buildings.

The new office represents AstraZeneca’s commitment to the UAE’s Sustainable Development Goals and its global ‘Zero Carbon Ambition’ strategy, which aims to eliminate carbon emissions from its global operations by 2025.

AstraZeneca is an advocate for the Sustainable Markets Initiative (SMI) Health Systems Working Group, a public-private partnership working to accelerate progress towards net zero healthcare systems.
