The UAE Government Development and Future Office initiated the “Futureneers” program, a national platform that brings together young UAE talents from various strategic fields to design ideas and solutions aimed at enhancing the UAE’s future preparations.

Futureneers plans to use the abilities and potential of young UAE talents in important fields to explore opportunities, create positive solutions to future challenges, develop innovative ideas, and participate in the design of policies and initiatives that promote the country’s preparation for the future.

This move fulfills the leadership directive set out in the “10 Principles of the UAE for the Next 50 Years”, a strategic roadmap aimed at investing in human capital as the main driver of future growth, and reflecting the UAE’s use of young UAE talents The vision of the skills, unleash their energy, and focus on their ambitions for the future.

At the same time as the initiative was launched, Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Government Development and Futures, held a meeting with the “Futurists” to review the vision, mission, goals and most prominent future project participants of the initiative in various fields Carry out the next phase of work. They further discussed development concepts, their future role, and some initiatives aimed at enhancing the UAE’s leading position as a global innovation center and an enabling environment for creative development.

Al Roumi emphasized the importance of investing in national talent and youth skills to strengthen the country’s preparation for the future.This embodies the vision His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Chief of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and the Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, empower young people and prepare for their future development.

Al Roumi said that the UAE government sees the challenges and rapid changes taking place around the world as opportunities to enable young people to use their talents and abilities and involve them in designing and creating the future. This supports the government’s efforts to make the UAE a country ready for the future, and calls on participants to step up their efforts to design solutions and improve the government’s readiness through “Futureneers”.

The focus of the initiative is to create an enabling environment for young professional teams to strengthen their participation in the formulation of policies, legislation and initiatives, and to design innovative solutions to ensure that the UAE becomes the most fully prepared country in the world for the future.

Participants selected for the program have extensive experience in various fields, including Amna Bin Thanaya in development management and architecture; Khaled Al Mubarak strategy and entrepreneurship; Fatima Galadari investment bank; Alia Al Mansoori in science and space; and software architecture Rashid Al Suwaidi.

Among the “futurists” participants are Noora Al Saeed in the field of astrophysics and planetary science; Mohammed Al Mansoori technology development and forensic science; Maryam Al Hashimi economics; Maitha Al Memari in the field of public policy and education; Fatima Al Qubaisi in law and legislation; and Thani Al Mheiri in philosophy and political science.

Participants are selected based on specific criteria, including their ability and skills to shape the future, diversity of knowledge, scientific and professional achievements, creativity, and the ability to develop ideas that meet the UAE’s vision for the next 50 years.
