ABU DHABI – Major General Saeed Rashid Al Shehhi, Commander of the UAE Army, has confirmed that the International Defense Exhibition (IDEX), Naval Defense and Maritime Security Exhibition (NAVDEX) 2023 embodies the UAE’s concept of soft power, reflecting its distinguished status and Its progress at all levels, especially in defense and military industries, represents a source of pride for all UAE people.
Under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the 16th IDEX 2023 and the 7th NAVDEX 2023 will be held in Abu Dhabi National from 20-24 February 2023 Exhibition Center (ADNEC) held.
”When looking back at the 16th International Defense Exhibition and Conference (IDEX), which will be held in February 2023, the world sees three decades of success, leadership, exclusivity and excellence. IDEX is considered a major global event, attracting local, regional and international attention as the world’s top defense and technology companies participate in the expo to showcase their latest defense products in the fields of weapons, defense and artificial intelligence,” said Major General Saeed Rashid Al Shehhi made the statement in a statement to Al Jundi Journal, the monthly military and cultural journal published by the Ministry of Defence, which is also the director of the event.
“Since its inception in 1993, we have seen 15 editions of IDEX, embodying our country’s vision of becoming a leader in various fields, especially defense and armaments, becoming one of the most important defense exhibitions that major international companies look forward to. Eager to showcase Their products in industry, defense technology and artificial intelligence.”
Furthermore, he added that the 16th edition of IDEX and the 7th edition of NAVDEX feature a unique organization that reaffirms the UAE’s vision of excellence in all areas, which was established by the UAE’s founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed Established by bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and sponsored by His Highness the President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, made the UAE a global center for outstanding international exhibitions and conferences, reflecting its professional organizational skills and leadership, As per international standards, it will strive for national excellence.
“The participation of defense companies from different countries in the world has political, military and economic signs as it confirms the preeminence achieved by the UAE in hosting international defense exhibitions,” he noted.
