World News | Park: Police raid Balochistan minister’s residence after finding 3 bodies

Islamabad [Pakistan]Feb 23 (ANI): After three bodies were pulled from a well in Balochistan’s Barkhan district, Pakistani police raided Provincial Construction and Communications Minister Sardar Abdul Rehman in connection with the case, Geo News reported. Khetran’s residence.

“These are the bodies of my wife and two sons who have been locked up in a private prison in Hajikot for the past four years,” Mari said, noting that they were his wife Granaz, 40, and son Mohammad. Anwar (22) and Abdul Kader (15).

Marri, who was employed by a provincial minister as a security guard, claimed his wife and son were being held in a private prison in Sardar Khetran, adding that five of his other children, including his 13-year-old daughter, were being held in prison. Still struggling there, Dawn reports.

Meanwhile, relatives of the deceased and members of the Mali tribe staged a sit-in in the provincial capital against the murder, saying the minister should be arrested and a judicial inquiry should be launched into the matter.

Rallies were also held in different parts of the province to protest the murder, Geo News reported.

On the other hand, the Balochistan Bar Association today boycotted court proceedings to protest the murder. Lawyers Council member Rahib Buledi said lawyers would not be in court today.

Also, at 5pm today, Senator Agha Umar Ahmedzai convened a tribal council in Aiwan-e-Qalat, Quetta to discuss the Barkhan incident.

A spokesman for Aiwan-e-Qalat said Baluchistan and Pashtun tribal chiefs would participate in the committee, Geo News reported. (Arnie)
