Premieres of ‘American Idol’ and ‘The Company You’re Keeping’ drive ABC’s 2022-23 season’s most-watched Sunday primetime delayed viewing

According to live broadcast + seven-day ratings data, two premieres, accompanied by a comeback America’s Funniest Home Videos – Originally aired on February 19 – averaged 5.7 million viewers across the broadcast network.

For the ad-friendly 18-49 age group, abc With an average of 0.6, it became the No. 1 entertainment network of the night.

American idolThe two-hour premiere was the highest-grossing of the trilogy so far, reaching 6.9 million viewers and a 0.8 demo rating at L+7. When digital viewing is factored in, the series’ multi-platform viewership soared to 8.3 million with a 1.4 rating.

In comparison, the series’ L+SD audience was 5.2 million. In the demo, the episode had an L+SD score of 0.61.

After the season 6 premiere of the singing competition the company you keep, the latest ABC series starring Milo Ventimiglia. On L+7, the episode has 4 million views and a demo rating of 0.89 (up from 0.26 on L+SD).

Taking into account multi-platform viewing, the premiere attracted 5.5 million viewers, an increase of 3.1 million compared to L+SD’s 2.4 million viewers.

American idol airs Sundays on ABC at 8 p.m. ET/PT, followed by the company you keep 10 p.m. ET/PT.
