ABU DHABI, 2nd March, 2023 (WAM) — The Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism, DCT Abu Dhabi, will host the second Forbes 30/50 Intergenerational Summit to celebrate International Women’s Day.
The highly anticipated event, taking place March 7-10, will address key women’s issues and feature thought-provoking sessions led by some of the world’s most influential women.
Key themes of the four-day event include mentoring, collaboration and innovation. From under-30 and over-50 honorees to world policy and business leaders, attendees will work together to connect and build alliances that change the world. As one of the safest cities in the world for women, the summit spanned some of the most iconic locations including Qasr Al Watan, Saadiyat Island and the Louvre Abu Dhabi. It will also serve as a backdrop to highlight the city’s efforts to create an environment that empowers all.
Confirmed speakers for this year’s summit include Hillary Rodham Clinton, former U.S. secretary of state, senator, first lady, lawyer, author and activist; Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, minister of state for international cooperation; Malala Yousafzai, Co-Founder, Malala Fund; Jessica Alba, Actress, Founder and Chief Creative Officer, The Honest Company; Ayesha Curry, Founder and CEO, Sweet July; Amna Al Qubasi, Formula racing driver; Catherine O’Hara, Emmy Award-winning actress and author; and Misty Copeland, ballerina, author and philanthropist.
The Forbes 30/50 Summit kicked off with an immersive destination tour, allowing attendees to enjoy Emirati hospitality, culture and a range of attractions to inspire, excite and rejuvenate, allowing them to experience Abu Dhabi at their own pace zabi. The next few days will feature a rich program of meetings to mark International Women’s Day, with a final day of service that will educate and empower future generations.
