DET’s participation in Gulfood 2023 at Dubai World Trade Center from 20-24 February will further strengthen its key role in attracting manufacturers and foreign investors, especially from the food and beverage sector, a key pillar of Dubai’s economy .

Attracting more than 5,000 exhibitors from 120 countries, the show also paves the way for local entrepreneurs and SMEs to strengthen their connections with international companies, buyers and suppliers, governments and trade delegations; as well as share information about Dubai Experience and knowledge of the ever-evolving restaurant industry.

DET is represented at Gulfood 2023 by the Dubai Economic Development Corporation (DEDC) and the Mohammed bin Rashid Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (Dubai SME).

The joint efforts of the two companies will help facilitate the implementation of key components of the recently announced D33 Dubai Economic Agenda, which aims to double the size of the UAE’s economy over the next decade; transforming Dubai into one of the world’s top three business and tourism city; double the volume of foreign trade through the addition of 400 new cities on the foreign trade map; accelerate the development of SMEs by supporting their capacity building and global expansion.

DET is keen to use Gulfood 2023 to highlight its dynamic trading, manufacturing and investment environment, while working to position Dubai as a global food hub.

Dubai SMEs will showcase Dubai’s F&B-focused startup ecosystem, highlighting its projects and local start-ups and their products, helping SMEs connect and network with international suppliers with a view to gaining access to new markets and opportunities, Thereby contributing to the growth of small and medium enterprises in the emirate, which account for 99% of the total number of private companies operating in Dubai. – trade arab news agency
